Stonington Town Hall Conference Room
The Stonington Town Hall Conference room is located in a beautiful, small, working fishing town set midway up the coast of Maine. The room is large, open, and airy, providing a perfect forum for your next group event—whether it be for business or pleasure. The Deer Isle-Stonington area is known for its granite coastline, pine tree forests, and its sweet, fresh-caught lobster. Stonington is a perfect destination for a relaxing trip, workshop, meeting, celebration, or retreat. A unique trait of life in Stonington is the ability to be immersed in nature, yet also have the convenience of modern technology. It is something everyone here thrives on.
Located in the center of town, the Town Hall is a handsome, mansard-roofed building, a ten-second walk away from two great restaurants and two great inns, across the street from the ocean, and a short drive away from Acadia National Park. You can take the ferry to Isle au Haut, buy a lobster from one of the dealers, and watch the sunset on Sand Beach, all within walking distance of the Town Hall.
The room is 2088 square feet, bright, open, and airy. Windows lines all four walls, and there are plenty of tables and chairs for all the people in your party. The space has WiFi, a bathroom, and an accessible entrance. The windows at the front of the room look out onto picturesque Stonington harbor, and you can watch lobster boats coming in from their day at sea, unloading their catch. The room would be great for workshops, classes, meetings, conferences, and more. You might teach a class on painting or quilting, discuss next year’s fiscal projections with your company or do some strategic planning—possibilities abound.
The inside of the building has been just as well maintained as the inside as it has on the outside. There’s amazing period ceiling molding, as well as tin ceilings, wooden floors, and paneled walls. The interior, simply put, is a great place to be.
Feel free to host a meal there-- the Harbor Café, located right next door to the Town Hall, is a great place to get food from. Burnt Cove Market, right off of Rt. 15 A, is also a good place to get food for a party! Please make sure to clean up if you do end up hosting a meal.
