Stonington Development Ordinances

About the Project

The town is revising its building ordinances over the next 12 to 18 months. The first phase of this process will be completed at Town Meeting 2026. The process began on July 31, 2025, with a consultant's presentation and will focus on the four most frequently used ordinances: site plan review, subdivision, shoreland zoning, and building permits.

Public input is essential to this process. Residents can participate through public meetings and surveys. All proposed ordinance revisions will be posted on this page for community review and feedback before going to town meeting for approval.
