Renew Your Registration Online

Visit the Rapid Renewal website here to renew your car's registration online!  You will need your old registration, valid insurance, and your odometer reading to do this.

Documents Required for Re-Registration

  • Previous Registration
  • Current Insurance Card (you may have proof of insurance faxed to the Town Office, but be aware you will be charged $1.00 per page)
  • Current Mileage
  • Payment

Documents Required for New (or New to You) Registration - Dealer Sale

  • Copy of Maine Application for Title for any vehicle model year 1998 and newer
  • Bill of Sale or Lease Agreement proving Maine Sales Tax has been paid
  • MSRP
  • Current Insurance Card
  • Current Mileage
  • Parent or Guardian must sign paperwork if registrant is under 18 years of age
  • Payment

Documents Required for New (or New to You) Registration - Casual/Private Sale

  • Title with prior owner's signature for any vehicle model year 1998 and newer
  • Bill of Sale
  • Current Insurance Card
  • Current Mileage
  • Parent or Guardian must sign paperwork if registrant is under 18 years of age
  • Payment

If your vehicle was previously registered to you in another state you need to bring the registration from that state in addition to the other required documents.

New registrations must be done through a registration agent or the Inland Fisheries & Wildlife main office in Augusta.

Registration Renewals

Renew your ATV or snowmobile registration online at the Maine.gov website.  Alternatively, one can renew their ATV or snowmobile registration in person at the Town Hall--a copy of the old registration is necessary in this case.

Voter Registration

The Maine.gov website Voter Registration page provides a voter guide, eligibility requirements, and voter rights.  The Town Clerks at the Town Hall can register any US Citizen over 18 years of age to vote at any time.  New voters must bring ID and two proofs of residency.

Each owner or keeper of a dog at the age of 6 months or more, on or before January 1st of each year, shall obtain a license from the clerk.  Proof of rabies immunization is required.  The cost is $6 for spayed/neutered dogs or $11 for unaltered dogs.  The Town Office administers yearly registration from mid-October through January 1st.  A late fee of $25 is administered for registrations after January 31st.
